Dear Steve and Shirley,
I'm a 29-year-old married Black man. I got married and started a family when I was only 21. I’m 6’4” and was a star football player in college. My wife and I were young, and by the time I was 26, we had three children. Her mom was a big help—she got us an apartment and babysat for us. My wife's 18-year-old sister also helped out a lot.
Four years ago, I was home alone watching porn and pleasuring myself when my wife's mom barged in without knocking. She saw what was going on and joined me. We ended up having sex, and it didn’t stop there. She taught me things I’d never experienced before. Around the same time, I also started sleeping with my wife’s sister. She’s a lot wilder in bed than my wife and initiated things one day while I was making a bottle for the baby. She got on the floor in front of me, and I couldn’t resist.
Now, my sister-in-law has two boys who look just like me. That brings the total to five kids between my wife, her mom, and her sister. So far, no one in my wife’s family has said anything about the boys looking like me, but I can’t help but wonder if my wife knows what’s going on.
Recently, my mother-in-law met a man and ended things with me. She used to pay me for sex, and I’m going to miss that money. I think it’s time to end the affair with my sister-in-law, too. I don’t want any more children, and both women are very fertile.
My real concern now is the big Thanksgiving dinner my mother-in-law is hosting. My wife’s grandparents, who are wealthy and hold a lot of status, have never fully accepted me. I’m sure they’ll notice that all the mixed-race kids in the family look like me. Should I skip Thanksgiving with them this year and celebrate with my own family instead?
