Entertainment News: Kennedy Phone Leak, Crazy Weather, and NAACP Convention

Robert Kennedy Jr., an Independent Presidential Candidate, issued an apology following the leak of a private conversation between him and Donald Trump after the assassination attempt. The video shows Kennedy listening on speakerphone in an office while discussing vaccines, election endorsements, and the assassination attempt with Trump. Kennedy posted a statement on X: "When President Trump called me, I was taping with an in-house videographer. I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am mortified that this was posted. I apologize to the president." Kennedy's son, Robert F. Kennedy III, first posted the video.

The weather has been crazy everywhere! Hurricanes, extreme heatwaves, wildfires, and tornados have hit Chicago and the Midwest. Drake’s hometown of Toronto, Canada, has also been dealing with severe heavy rainstorms and power outages. He posted a story on his IG Page showing dirty brown water flooding his lavish estate, with the caption, “This better be Expresso Martini.” The video also showed Drake and his crew trying to keep the water from going into other parts of the mansion. See, stars are just like us too, dealing with bad weather, power outages, and flooding.

Country music artist Ingrid Andress has apologized for her terrible performance of the National Anthem at the Major League Baseball’s annual Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas. Andress revealed she “was drunk” and is checking herself into rehab. She posted a statement on social media that read in part, "I'm not gonna (b.s) y’all, I was drunk last night.” "I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need."

According to USA Today.com, President Biden spoke at the NAACP Convention in Las Vegas and slammed former President Donald Trump for his comment about Black jobs during the last presidential debate. Trump claimed that Black jobs are being taken away by illegal immigrants. We all know that Trump’s remarks were very racist. Trump’s Black job remark was widely criticized by Derrick Johnson, president and CEO of the NAACP. "There is no such thing as a Black job," Johnson said, adding that "A 'Black job' is an American job." He went on to say, “It's concerning that a presidential candidate would seek to make a nonexistent distinction. But the divisive nature of this comment is not surprising for Donald Trump.” The NAACP Convention’s theme, “All In,” reaffirms the organization's commitment to using collective ingenuity, creativity, and strength to continue the fight for civil rights.
