Over the weekend, Mrs. Marjorie Harvey celebrated her 57th birthday in Paris, France. Uncle Steve flew in for the celebrations and the pictures of the couple went viral. I mean, they are one of the best-dressed couples in the world. It looked as though they had a great time while they walked the streets of Paris, danced at dinner, and Uncle Steve did a little serenading too. However, The Harvey's weren't the only Black couple that went viral...Beyonce and Jay-Z were out and about, Ciara and Russell Wilson were in a hospital bed after Russell's surgery, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz dancing during a date night went viral, too.
So, Shirley asked Uncle Steve, why is it so important to see and promote positive images of Black love to the world?
Unc had a classic but honest response. He said, "Marriage is hard, and forging a way to stay together in the entertainment industry is even harder. It gives a lot of inspiration to young people. Love is worth fighting for and having, and it can make you better. I hope it sends a message to young guys, that putting somebody's daughter on a pedestal and treating her like a queen is actually admirable."
