Iyanna "Yaya" Mayweather has pleaded guilty to stabbing an alleged mother of one of YoungBoy Never Broke Again's children.
According to a report XXL published on Wednesday, April 13, the daughter of prolific boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr pleaded guilty to Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon after she got into a fight with another woman who reportedly has a child with the "100 Rounds" rapper at the his home back in 2020. Mayweather has formally admitted to "unlawfully, intentionally and unknowingly" causing "bodily injury to Lapattra Jacobs" after she cut Jacobs with a knife. The defendant also waived her right to appeal the case.
"We resolved the case between Iyanna and the State," Mayweather's lawyer Kent Schaffer told XXL. "The agreement calls for Iyanna being on deferred adjudication for a period of 6 years after which she will have no felony conviction and the case will be dismissed. She is eligible to have the deferred adjudication end after two years pending her good behavior. Although we believe that Iyanna was defending herself after being attacked, we thought this was the safest resolution for her. This is especially true since her boyfriend and his bodyguards refused to testify; probably due to their own legal problems."
Mayweather, who also has a child with YoungBoy and was dating him at the time, was hit with the second-degree felony charge after she was arrested and taken into custody for stabbing Jacobs inside YoungBoy's home in Houston two years ago. Apparently, Jacobs was at the rapper's house when Mayweather arrived, which angered her. After she told Jacobs to leave, the two women got into a heated argument that eventually got physical. After Jacobs reportedly grabbed her hair outside of the house, Mayweather then grabbed two knives and cut Jacobs twice.
Mayweather was facing up to 20 years in prison, however, prosecutors ended up recommending six years deferred adjunction, which is can be offered to first-time offenders to avoid jail time. She will also have to do 40 hours of community service and is barred from interacting with Jacobs going forward.
