The Wisconsin Department of Justice has identified the officer who shot Jacob Blake as Officer Rusten Sheskey.
Rusten, who has been employed by Kenosha police for seven years, was placed on administrative leave after shot Blake seven times on Sunday (August 23).
"Officer Sheskey fired the weapon into Mr. Blake's back," Wisconsin state investigators said in a news release. "No other officer fired their weapon. Kenosha Police Department does not have body cameras, therefore the officers were not wearing body cameras."
As for the other officers involved in the shooting, Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul said on Wednesday (August 26) that they will be identified "soon."
