"Empire" star Jussie Smollett is in the spirit of giving this holiday season.
The 35-year-old is using the proceeds from his latest album, "Sum Of My Music" to donate $125,000 to a list of charities, especially those connected to the African American community. While he hasn't made any announcements just yet, it seems as though he is allowing the "sum of his music" to do the talking for him.
Foundations that have benefited from the entertainer's loving heart include:
- The Black AIDS Institute
- Flint KIDS
- South Africa’s SKY Foundation
- The Trayvon Martin Foundation
- The Human Rights Campaign
- Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp
- ACLU
- …and the Anthony Burrell Dance School.
Now in case you're wondering, Jussie is no stranger to giving. Just a few months ago the "No Apologies" singer surprised Kayden Kinckle, a six-year-old double amputee, with a brand new wheelchair accessible van.
Aww!
'Tis the season...for giving, loving and enjoying life!
Thank you for all that you do Jussie! You are appreciated!
