We can't stress enough the importance of making your voice heard at the polls! Everyone here at the The Steve Harvey Morning Show has exercised their right to vote because it matters. It matters for our children, our children's children and our children's children's children...and you don't have to be a democrat to see that.
Our dear friend, Sheryl Underwood called in Thursday (November 1st) determined to "drive souls to the polls."
"I'm a Republican and I'm telling you, we got to vote like our life depends on it because it does. Voter suppression is real."
So real, that folks are losing their lives because of it. Taking a look at our country, things are certainly not equal and Sheryl points out why.
"Right now President Trump controls all three branches, the executive branch, the judicial branch and he controls the legislative branch. That is a dictatorship and that cannot stand in the leader of the Free World. We have got to push this back."
Push back because we need to let the Senate know that we matter. We need the Senate to reflect that wants and needs of our country...and that includes for ALL people.
Right now number 45 is trying override the 14th Amendment which grants citizenship to all persons, including immigrants, born or naturalized in the United States. If you really think about it, aren't majority of the citizens a son or a daughter of an immigrant?
Steve points out the fact that Trumps efforts aren't fair because he too is a son of an immigrant.
"His father was an immigrant [and] if he came here as an immigrant and he had you, why [does your] birth right get to stay and them other people got to get taken away? Explain it to me, Mr. President."
Now those are facts!
