On Sunday (October 28th), Carla Ferrell attended The Pink & Beat Soiree A Celebration of Life hosted by her dear friend, Brandi Holmes, to raise money for breast cancer research and survivors. Carla spoke to survivors and those who have been affected by the disease on why early detection is key.
With efforts that extend to her participation in the 2018 Cracker Barrel Sista Strut 3K Breast Cancer Walk in Texas and Chicago, Carla is at the forefront with bringing awareness to the disease that has plagued the lives of so many women.
In honor of her efforts, Texas State Representative, Shawn Theirry presented our superstar Program Director with a certification of recognition for her fearless fight against breast cancer.

Carla has been a longtime advocate for breast cancer awareness since losing her mother, Pat Boatner, in 2004 to the disease.
