Don't mess with Diddy.
Earlier this week, Joe Budden revealed that the hip-hop mogul had one thing to say about Eminem's diss track "Kill Shot" — it's handled. While the track wasn't directed at Diddy, he was mentioned in the last few bars of the diss track, which came as a response to Machine Gun Kelly's diss track "Rap Devil."
"Puff said it's in his hands and he said I could say it," Joe said on his podcast. "He said, 'there's nothing to say about it. It's in my hands.'" Joe admitted that Diddy's short and and sweet statement made him realize he wanted no part of their beef. “This is bigger than rap,” Joe added. “That’s bigger than rap. And I’m getting out of here because I’m afraid.”
The bars that caused such a fuss were the last few lines on "Killshot" where Eminem raps: "Killshot, I will not fail, I'm with the Doc still/ But this idiot's boss pops pills and tells him he's got skills/ But, Kells, the day you put out a hit's the day Diddy admits/ That he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah!" The lyrics seem to be referencing 2 Pac's murder, speculating that Diddy was possibly the one behind it. Clearly Eminem know the weight of his words as he retracted his statement in the outro of the song, rapping, 'oh And I'm just playin', Diddy You know I love you.'
As fans know, Eminem and MGK are currently in quite the rap beef, which began after Eminem released his album Kamikaze last month. Em dissed MGK on "Not Alike," which reignited tension between the two rappers that dates back to 2012 when MGK spoke about Eminem's daughter on social media. MGK has since seemingly made it his mission to destroy the rapper, lyrically, of course.
