We all have embarrassing moments, but this one right here takes the cake!
In this Strawberry Letter, a young woman writes in for advice regarding her first date since her divorce 4 years ago. Not only was it her first date, but her first blind one at that.
At first glance the letter seems to be pretty exciting with "Stella" getting her groove back and all. It wasn't until after dinner when things got a little "out of control."
Take a look and find out how this woman ended up passing gas on this man's lap not once, but TWICE! Sheesh!
Dear Steve and Shirley,
I am a 30-year-old woman and I’ve been divorced for 4 years. I’m finally ready to start dating so I agreed to let my sister set me up on a blind date with her husband’s friend. I had never been on a blind date before and I was a little nervous. When I got to the restaurant and met my date, I was pleasantly surprised. This man is so perfect and we have a lot in common. We ate and talked and laughed for hours. After we ate, he asked if I’d like to walk down by the lake behind the restaurant so we could talk some more. Of course I did! We were having such a great time getting to know each other that we decided to sit down. He sat down on the bench first and patted his thigh for me to sit on his lap. We were sitting there talking and joking and I could not stop laughing. Shirley, I laughed so hard that… I passed gas! Yes, while I was sitting on his lap… And it was so loud. I immediately jumped up and apologized, but I was so nervous that I did it again! I will never forget the look on his face. He stood up and asked me if I was okay, if I needed to go to the bathroom or if I should just go on home. I thanked him for a great evening and I excused myself. I have never been more embarrassed in my life. Later that night, he sent me a text that said “LMAO ARE YOU OKAY?” I did not know what to text back to him. It’s been 3 days now and I still don’t know how to answer. This could’ve been the start of something great, but I’m afraid it’s over already. What do you think? Should I text him back and see what’s up?
Oh wow!
The upside to all of this is that he makes her laugh and cares about her well being! I mean he even texted her to make sure she was "okay" for goodness sake.
So yes, I think she should text him back. He's clearly not trippin'!
However, take a listen to hear what Shirley, J. Anthony Brown and Junior have to say:
What do you think she should do?
