Uncle Steve Reacts To Mike Tyson Punching Airline Passenger

A flight out of San Francisco International Airport turned violent last Wednesday night when boxing legend Mike Tyson repeatedly punched a passenger, Melvin Townsend III, in the face, after he threw a water bottle at Tyson. According

to TMZ Sports, Townsend was extremely intoxicated and would not stop provoking Tyson, then he threw a water bottle at him. Witnesses reported that Tyson did not appear angry at first and then things took a turn after Tyson took a selfie with the man and the man reportedly kept trying to talk to Tyson. After punching the man several times in the face, witnesses claim Tyson then walked off the plane. Townsend reportedly got medical attention and then went to the police.

Uncle Steve said, "The video I saw he was harassing Mike. People think when you meet a celebrity you have rights to them. You don't. You took liberties and kept talking to the man. Then you throw a water bottle, at a grown man what do you want to happen?"

There may be felony battery charges filed against Tyson… And since the incident took place on a plane, he might be prohibited from flying. Melvin Townsend III reportedly has a lengthy criminal history and is listed as a habitual felon after he received a 25-year sentence for grand theft. He’s also been convicted of identity fraud, use of drug paraphernalia, trafficking stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance.

After hearing Townsend's history, Nephew Tommy thinks that "It's some guys who get drunk, get lit and they like I'm going to take a Mike Tyson punch. There are some people who want to see what that's like."
