We've been eagerly awaiting "The Beautiful Ones" since Associate Press broke the news back in April. Now, the wait will soon be over.
It was devastating to know Prince passed before he was able to complete his manuscript. Thankfully, the late-legend made the perfect decision in recruiting Dan Piepenbring as a co-author on the project. Dan made it his mission to channel Prince's voice appropriately enough to convey the story he wanted to tell.
The 288-page book is chalk-full of rare photos, lyrics, and navigation of Prince's coming-of-age.
Dan opened the book as he thinks of the singer's last days as,
"Prince was thinking deeply about how to reveal more of himself and his ideas to the world." Throughout, we'll share visions as the "Purple Rain" crooner recounts memories from "his favorite of his father’s shirts" and having epilepsy as a child, to "playing house with a girl in his neighborhood."

In more Prince news, music lovers can look forward to a deluxe reissue of 1999. And we don't use the term "deluxe" loosely.
A 5CD/1DVD and 10LP/1DVD collection will be dropped through Rhino/Warner Records Nov. 29, 2019. Variety expanded on what to expect saying it contains:
"...dozens of B-sides, remixes and 35 previously unreleased outtakes — yes, thirty five unreleased tracks — along with two full concerts from the legendary tour in support of the album (both from 1982: Nov. 30 in Detroit and Dec. 29 in Houston, the latter show is the DVD and is from a multi-camera shoot). It also comes with a lavish booklet with liner notes, rare photos and several of Prince's hand-written lyrics...there will also be 4LP and 2CD versions that include the original album, and the promo mixes and B-sides, all with 2019 remaster."
