The city of "Brotherly Love" is home to one of the most charitable barbers.
B. Jawuan Jones is a security guard-turned-charity initiator thanks to his new movement. The Philadelphia native found a way to give back to his community by taking his haircutting skills to the streets.
Because Of Them We Can chatted with Jones who was happy to talk about his journey with "Haircuts4Homeless."
“I was looking for a way to give back to the less fortunate but wanted to be different and unique. My wife gave me the idea to go out and cut a few guys hair. After social media took notice the idea blew up and Haircut4Homeless was birthed.”
The incredible transformation he gave Bill for his 56th birthday just confirmed the work he was doing was great. And Bill's tears said it all.
Now that he's found passion behind barbering again, B. Jawuan is now figuring out how to open the "Compassion Center" as a resource and shelter for homeless teens and adults. As well as, finding an indoor area to continue his work during the winter.
