Last night, BET’S Mancave Executive Producer, Steve Harvey stopped by to kick it with the fellas, dropped a few gems and of course brought the laughter.
Co-host Jeff Johnson asked Steve his thoughts on cutting off friends who can’t handle your success. Harvey quoted his father saying, “everybody come with you can’t go with you.” He explained that although he loves his friends, some couldn’t handle themselves in new spaces including a friend who grabbed a hotel rep by the collar when he thought he didn’t have a room.
And in a spirited game of “One Gotta Go,” fellow comedian Slink asked Harvey to choose two out of three people: Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock. Harvey said Hart has to go because Chappelle and Rock are legends in the game. Of course there is no love lost as Hart is considered to be family at The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Harvey explains that Hart is “the new legend.”
Also, did you know Steve's nickname while growing up was "Wonderlove?” Come to find out, he had a huge Afro and used to roller skate at a rink called the Blue Goose?! Check out TBT pic and talks about his younger self, his dreams and friends.
